Process
Collection, depollution, shredding, separation
The group’s operations lie along the Danube — which makes collection and downstream treatment possible in one chain.
The overall process covers collection with our own fleet, rail and port access, depollution, shredding, separation of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, processing of the non-ferrous fraction and finally plastics recycling.
For depollution we use our own patented Smasher technology; for the actual liberation the EVA shredder, built specifically for electrical appliances. Both exist because no suitable off-the-shelf equipment was available for these material streams.
The resulting plastic pellets meet the requirements of RoHS and REACH and can therefore be used in new electronic products.

Material share
Electronic scrap contains 20 to 25 per cent plastics
This share decides whether statutory recycling targets are met — and it is exactly the share that ends up in incineration elsewhere.
